Agile Project Manager (FT, On Site) — Center City Philly

An agile project manager at PromptWorks is an integral part of the project team to collect and manage business requirements, collaborate with engineers to translate business requirements into a technical backlog, manage the pace of work, communicate with our clients, and provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Using Agile best practices and techniques, project managers clarify product vision for our clients, bring out the best in our software engineering teams, and help improve our internal processes. Our project managers are the friendly, competent, smart, and proactive face of the company to clients.


  • Facilitate discovery sessions and Agile ceremonies with clients and staff.
  • Turn clients’ big ideas into actionable stories in collaboration with engineers.
  • Develop process flows and review wireframes with clients.
  • Work with clients to set milestone dates and coordinate public releases.

Academic Web Developer(FT) - Swarthmore

The Academic Web Developer is responsible for creating, maintaining, and supporting academic software to improve teaching, learning, and research at Swarthmore.  This position works with academic technologists, IT staff, faculty, and librarians to define requirements and implement solutions. Main responsibilities include the following: Maintain academic software systems including Moodle, WordPress, JupyterHub, RStudio Server, and ArcGIS Server; Responsible for security, data integrity, and up-time; Collaborate with Academic Technologists, Faculty, Librarians, and students to implement new and update existing academic software systems; Manage the entire project lifecycle, including gathering requirements, defining scope, designing and/or implementing applications, conducting tests, and writing documentation; Proactively monitors and analyzes current and emerging trends and technologies, to contribute to the planning and execution of initiatives to improve the academic experience.  Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years relevant work experience
  • Experience implementing and supporting web-based systems, including performing upgrades and handling security, backup, and monitoring.
  • Demonstrated front and back end web coding experience
  • Proven expertise administering Linux systems in a production environment
  • Experience coding in a team environment using a version control system
  • A history of successfully managing the full lifecycle of development projects. 
  • Work habits that demonstrate attention to detail and ability to work on deadline.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with academic software used at Swarthmore College, including Moodle, WordPress, JupyterHub/JupterLab, RStudio, ArcGIS

Business Development Manager

About the Position

Interactive Mechanics is looking for a resourceful, creative, and strategic Business Development Manager to join our team full-time (32–40 hours/week) to manage and execute our business development processes and work with our clients to see their projects come to life. We’re aiming for a start date of June 6, 2018.

You will define and manage our sales process, from cultivating prospective clients and soliciting RFPs, to determining how we select projects to pursue, to drafting proposals and project scopes/budgets with support from other members of the team. You will set and communicate the vision for business development, relationships, and partnerships as part of annual planning, including defining and managing client and partner relationships. You will drive our industry visibility, including strategizing on conference attendance, speaking engagements, memberships and professional associations, sponsorships, and partnerships, and attend and speak at conferences or other events to present our work and expertise.

You will also facilitate the handoff of projects once awarded to our Project Manager and create contracts and agreements for new projects with input from the Creative Director. You will coordinate, plan, and facilitate project kick-off meetings, discovery meetings, and design studio/brainstorming meetings, and participate in ongoing reviews throughout the life of a project by conducting check-ins with clients (at the midpoint and after installation) to gather feedback, identify marketing opportunities, and strengthen relationships. You will report to the Creative Director. This role requires occasional travel for business development and client meetings.
